What was once a residence is now a home of fine dining on the old Main Street of Platte City. It may surprise you that this sleepy little town has a white gloved, fine dining establishment. Shield Manor Bistro is a beautifully restored home and serves some of the finest food north of Kansas City. Reservations are required and may become habitual when you taste and experience the hospitality of Max and DeDe Shields. They started their business because of their love of entertaining. The menu is always changing. DeDe loves to cook and is always thinking of something different to offer her guests. Our award winning Bleu Cheese Shrimp is always on the menu.
